Node: log

<log createdir="yes">
[path]
[file]
[option]
</log>

Notes

If the destination directory does not exist and the createdir attribute is set to yes the directory is created.

Log options are inherited by individual filters and can be overridden by settings at the filter level.

Future Enhancements:

- Add attribute to disallow changes to path by inheriting filters, perhaps by implementing a <basepath> node only in the root appearance of the <log> node and guaranteeing no backreferencing is permitted.
